Graduation of First Class of Online Digital Media Diploma in Arabic
AUC's Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism celebrated the graduation of the first class of the Professional Diploma in Digital Media, offered in Arabic and entirely online. The media ceremony was presented by Dina Esmat Waly, anchor at DMC channel and Egypt's Channel 1.

Class of 2024 Looks Forward to AUC Experience
AUC's campus is sparkling with energy and hope as new and returning students kick off the Spring 2020 semester. More than 80 new undergraduates and 140 graduate students started their studies as the University approaches the final phase of its centennial celebration: Experience the Future. The new undergraduate class — 47.5% females and 52.5% males — is enriching campus diversity, with students coming from the United States, Syria and Yemen.

AUC, College of Charleston Partner on Student Exchange
AUC and the College of Charleston in South Carolina, both liberal arts institutions with a long legacy in education, have recently partnered on new academic cooperation and student exchange program for both undergraduate and graduate students for a period of five years. Students from AUC and the College of Charleston will receive a scholarship to spend a semester or year abroad at the other institution, providing students with a unique international experience and strengthening East-West cultural ties.

Former Arizona State Senator Stephen Farley Reflects on his Year Abroad at AUC
Stephen Farley (YAB '84), a public artist who previously served as Arizona state senator, came to AUC as a study-abroad student from 1983 to 1984. This is how he reflects on his time at AUC: "My life was transformed by AUC and Cairo. In 1983-1984, there was no internet, no easy way to phone home. My parents found out I arrived safely when my letter arrived six weeks later. For a kid from the American suburbs, it was like living on another planet -- on your own. And I loved every minute of it!

Yousef Jameel Fellowship “Know thy Country” Trip to Damietta
Under the “Know Thy Country” initiative that was launched in Fall 2016 by the Yousef Jameel GAPP Public Leadership Fellowship, a group of fellows along with the fellowship’s administration and some faculty members headed to Damietta on August 5. The group visited Damietta Furniture City, Damietta Governorate headquarters, and Damietta Port Authority. The tour was concluded with a visit to Ras El Bar.
