Internationalization plays a pivotal role in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), as GAPP aims to foster a global perspective and prepare students for the complexities of an interconnected world.
About Internationalization
GAPP has carved a name for itself in Egypt and the region. Forming alliances with international and national institutions, its programs gained unprecedented international accreditation and ranking globally and in the region. Expanding the horizons for students and professionals alike, GAPP has broken much ground in its first decade by promoting cross-cultural dialogue, encouraging collaboration across borders, and embracing diversity.
Princeton University Students Visit
The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy hosted a visit from graduate students of Princeton University and Ambassador Daniel Kurtzer. During their visit, they engaged in a roundtable discussion with experts and graduate students from the American University in Cairo (AUC) on the topic of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and the Nile water issue.
Olivaint Conference of Belgium’s students
The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy hosted a visit from graduate students of Olivaint Conference of Belgium's students and researchers where they met with GAPP students and engaged in discussions to exchange their opinions and academic ideas.

NASPAA Student Competition
The Public Policy and Administration Department (PPAD) was selected as one of 16 global host sites (11 in the United States and five international sites) for the NASPAA-Batten Student Simulation Competition, ten students of GAPP participated in the competition. The topic for this competition was Pandemic Crisis Management and Global Health Security, focusing on the roles MPA and MPP graduates would have to play in the event of a pandemic outbreak of a deadly infectious disease.

Rankings
Eduniversal Best Masters ranking has awarded GAPP with several “Best Masters” rankings for 2022. Based on the analysis of the educational offerings of approximately 4000 schools and universities in 154 countries.
Accreditations
The Public Policy and Administration Department Masters (MPA) and (MPP) are the first two programs to be “Triple Crown” accredited globally in the field of Public Affairs Education. EAPAA, ICAPA and NASPAA accreditations uniquely combine a fusion of International and European standards of public service education.
