The Egyptian Migration Hub (EHUB)

The Egyptian Migration Hub (EHUB) is the Center for Migration and Refugee Studies (CMRS) latest project funded by the European Union in Egypt.

Egypt is a destination, transit, and origin country for migrants and refugees, as well as home to one of the only regional centers on migration and refugee issues, a national HUB can play a significantly constructive role in advancing migration governance in the country.

This one-year venture aims to bring together academics, practitioners, and government officials to discuss important topics of migration governance in Egypt and the region as well as support these actors in the governance process; as well facilitate the ease of the exchange of experiences and information amongst high-level decision-makers.  The project's activities include bringing together groups of people who do not always have an opportunity to work together in order to disseminate information on a variety of migration-related issues, organizing both: General meetings of all actors and Sectoral meetings of concerned actors in specific areas.
