Media and Youth Symposium goes Successful with a Full House
On Sunday, September 23rd, Arab Media & Society and the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the American University in Cairo (AUC) held a symposium on Media and Youth in Oriental Hall, AUC Tahrir Campus.
The event was organized in advance of the launch of Arab Media & Society’s Summer/Fall 2018 issue of the same theme. It was very well attended by upwards of 200 people including officials, scholars, journalists, and students from AUC and several local universities. Media was also in attendance, including MBC Masr television channel. The event was moderated by Rasha Allam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at AUC. Panelists included newly appointed Dean of the School of Mass Communication at Cairo University, Heba El Semary, Chief Operating Officer of Egyptian Media Group, Hossam Saleh, and popular journalist, Ibrahim El Garhi.
