The Political Economy of Green Urbanism in the Arab World: Planning, Policy, and Finance Spring School co-organized with BIAS-AME (Built Environment Institute for Applied Studies - Africa and the Middle East), is calling for applications for its May 18 - 23, 2025 program at AUC.
The school welcomes Arab World university professionals and students to explore urban challenges, focusing on climate vulnerabilities, sustainable development, and innovative green urbanism approaches. The school will analyze socio-ecological challenges, equitable urban development models, and regional climate adaptation strategies. Participants will investigate how cities address environmental disruptions through planning, policy, and finance.
The application deadline is February 22, 2025, with full travel support for successful candidates.
Who Can Apply?
- Arab practitioners, researchers, and advanced graduate students (MA/PhD) working or enrolled in universities in the Arab World.
- Fields: Urbanism, planning, design, architecture, urban-focused social sciences.
