Students Awarded in Journalism

JRMC students Sara El Kot and Hadia Baher Rashwa won the silver and bronze awards in the 2024 edition of  the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication Festival of Visual and Interactive Media.

The winning student photo essays at AEJMC's VIMFest, were part of the Multimedia Writing and Production course taught by Kim Fox, professor of practice in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication .

The online awards ceremony took place in early March. Elkot received the silver award for her photo essay titled  “Sara Elkot's Photo Diary” and Rashwan won the bronze award for her project titled “A Day with a Dog's Eyes”.
