On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, GAPP held the first event on the series Shaping the Future on The Role of Statistics in Politics: Good Governance or Good Image?, the speaker was Magued Osman, CEO and Director of the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research "Baseera" and Former Minister of Communication and Information Technology and former Chairman of the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC, Prime Minister's Office, Egypt), the discussant Ahmed Darwish, Former Minister of State for Administration Development and Former Chairman of the Suez Canal Industrial Zone and the moderator was Noha El-Mikawy, Dean of the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. The event was well attended by students from GAPP. Shaping the Future event series, a transformative initiative by the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. With a keen focus on addressing the pressing issues of our time, this series serves as a platform for thought-provoking discussions, engaging debates, and inspiring conversations.
