
Professional Development Program Celebrates the Graduation of the Digital Media Diploma Seventh and Eighth Cohorts
The Professional Development Program at the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism celebrated the graduation of the seventh and eighth cohorts of the Digital Media Diploma taught in Arabic and offered online.
In her welcome remarks, Noha El-Mikawy, dean of the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), emphasized that digital media is an integral part of our daily lives and plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion. Through this diploma, graduates now possess the tools and knowledge that qualify them to be leaders in this rapidly evolving field. She further noted that GAPP has a comprehensive strategy in digital media that aims to keep pace with rapid developments in this field through advanced educational programs that align with the latest trends and technologies.
In his speech, Hussein Amin, director of the Kamal Adham Center, affirmed that the Digital Media Diploma is not just an educational program but a unique experience combining theoretical knowledge and practical application, making it a competitive program. He added that the diploma has seen a significant demand, reflecting the community's trust in this educational program. Amin also announced that starting next January, three cohorts will be accepted each year to allow more talented individuals to join this distinguished program.
Ghada Kandil, chief director of the Bank of New York, was recognized during the ceremony. Kandil highlighted the importance of continuous development and the need to convey information with honesty and professionalism. She praised the uniqueness of the diploma in terms of content, describing it as a pioneering diploma offered through an online platform.
In the same context, Dina Saad, associate director of the Professional Development Program, emphasized the importance of updating the curriculum to ensure competitive educational content that meets international standards, preparing graduates to face future challenges. Saad added that the work required immense dedication from the academic team, who spared no effort in research and development to ensure the curriculum remains comprehensive and up-to-date.
The ceremony also included honoring the diploma instructors and co-instructors who contributed to shaping a new generation of digital media journalists capable of using the latest and most diverse techniques in the profession, producing comprehensive media products that meet the requirements of the job market.
The event concluded with Amin presenting certificates to the graduates, who shared their joy with their families and captured this memorable moment with photos.
