New Policy Brief Released on Enhancing Environmental Civil Society Capacity in Egypt
GAPP Executive Education is pleased to announce the publication of a policy brief titled “Enhancing the Capacity of Environmental Civil Society in Egypt: Addressing Competency Gaps and Training Needs”
This brief is the outcome of the research design session “Innovation in Learning for Sustainable Development” organized on March 3, 2024, by GAPP Executive Education. The session brought together civil society actors, development experts, and representatives from the donor community to discuss critical issues in environmental sustainability.
Authored by Nadine Wahab and Amal Ibrahim, the policy brief explores the vital role of civil society in promoting environmental sustainability across Egypt. The findings highlight significant competency gaps, particularly regarding knowledge of national environmental laws and regulations, which impact both civil society actors and government officials.
This important work aims to inform and enhance the capacity of environmental civil society in Egypt, ultimately contributing to improved sustainable development practices.
