GAPP hosted nine ambassadors from the Association of South-East Asian Nations

On March 19, 2023, in a gathering hosted by PPAD Assistant Professor Dr. Hisham Wahby, students had the
unique opportunity to meet with eight ambassadors and one Deputy Chief of Mission representing Singapore,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Myanmar, all member states of the
Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). At the event, the Ambassador of Brunei and the current Chair
of ASEAN in Cairo gave a talk introducing ASEAN, and the upcoming chair and ambassador representing
Indonesia also discussed expectations for the future of ASEAN.
