The event took place on June 29 at AUC Tahrir Square campus' Oriental Hall and was titled "Plastic Pollution: From Lofty Goals to Incremental Action." By bringing together diverse perspectives from government, civil society, international organizations and the private sector, the panel aimed to bridge the gap between national strategies, grassroots initiatives and market-based solutions to identify actionable pathways to reduce plastic waste and promote circularity. In doing so, the experts shared their experiences, reflections and policy recommendations on this crucial and multisectoral environmental challenge.
