GAPP Executive Education launches the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) - Training for Employment (TFE) Phase II: Rabeha
GAPP Executive Education is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural in-person training workshop for the “Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) - Training for Employment (TFE) Phase II: Rabeha”
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Mohamed Fahmy Menza, Senior Director of GAPP Executive Education, provided the opening speech of the first session via a recorded audiovisual contribution. Karen Fanous, Program Analyst and Representative from UN Women Egypt, also gave a speech in person whereby she expressed her enthusiasm for the program's debut. Additionally, Mai Mahmoud of the National Council for Women contributed a recorded message and Mohamed Shehab El Din, CEO and Founder of Resolve Consulting and Training, the project's executive partner, delivered an overview of the program and extended a warm welcome to the participants.
The workshop saw the participation of 25 young women from Cairo and Giza. The next phase of in-person workshops is expected to witness the participation of more than 350 participants from five additional governorates: Alexandria, Beheira, Beni Suef, Fayoum, and Minya. The curriculum covered critical personal development topics relevant to the job market, including self-development, personal branding, presentation skills, and resume writing.
This project is part of a collaborative effort between UN Women Egypt and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Egypt, in partnership with the National Council for Women and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. It is supported by the Government of Canada, represented by the Embassy of Canada to Egypt, and executed in partnership with Resolve Consulting and Training. The program aims to empower and equip more than 1000 women and girls with specialized professional training and support to secure meaningful employment opportunities.
