GAPP Executive Education hosted a significant roundtable discussion focusing on capacity building needs of environmental Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Egypt.
The event, held at AUC Tahrir Square on December 22, 2024, centered on the findings of a comprehensive report commissioned by GAPP Executive Education examining the capacity-building requirements of Egyptian environmental civil society organizations.
Noha El Mikawy, dean of the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and Mohamed Fahmy Menza, senior director of GAPP Executive Education, moderated the discussion, which highlighted critical challenges facing environmental CSOs, including knowledge gaps, regulatory complexities and technological barriers. Lobna Nabil, officer at GAPP Executive Education, presented GAPP's sustainability initiatives, and Nadine Wahab, co-author, on the main findings of the report.
The roundtable brought together diverse stakeholders to discuss strengthening the role of CSOs in environmental policy-making and fostering public-private sector collaboration for sustainable development.
