GAPP Executive Education Celebrates Milestone in Women’s Economic Empowerment Program

December 4, 2024

GAPP Executive Education is excited to share the latest updates from our Women’s Economic Empowerment Program for Comprehensive and Sustainable Growth in Egypt, known as Rabeha - Training for Employment (WEE TFE).

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the vibrant atmosphere at the Misr Public Library in Damanhour, Beheira was enhanced by the presence of distinguished guests during in-person training workshops. The event garnered notable attention from representatives of the Canadian Embassy, UN Women, and the Beheira Governorate.

Key figures attending this significant event included Canada's Ambassador-Designate, H.E. Ulric Shannon; Marwa Alam El-din, Acting Representative of UN Women in Egypt; and Zakia Rashad, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women for the Beheira branch. They were joined by Mohamed Fahmy Menza, Senior Director of GAPP Executive Education, who welcomed our esteemed guests.

The visit featured a rich array of interactive activities, culminating in a panel discussion with Rabeha graduates. These inspiring women shared their success stories and the challenges they’ve faced on their journey to empowerment.

This initiative, supported by the Canadian Governorate, UN Women, and UNIDO, aims to equip Egyptian women with essential knowledge and skills, fostering their pathways to meaningful employment. Through programs like these, GAPP Executive Education continues to take significant steps toward promoting economic empowerment for women in Egypt.
