Canada Day Iskandarani: Celebrating Partnership and Collaboration in Alexandria
In a spirit of friendship and collaboration, the Embassy of Canada to Egypt hosted "Canada Day Iskandarani", the first-ever celebration of Canada Day in Alexandria. The event, held at the Hilton Hotel, brought together distinguished guests, partners, and friends to celebrate the growing partnership between Canada and Egypt in the heart of the Mediterranean city.
The evening was filled with warmth, energy, and Alexandrian hospitality, marking a memorable occasion that reflected the strength of cooperation and shared values between both nations.
Representing the American University in Cairo (AUC) were Noha El-Mikawy, Dean of the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and Mohamed Fahmy Menza, Senior Director of GAPP Executive Education, alongside representatives from UN Women. Their participation came within the framework of the Rabeha Program — a joint initiative by UN Women Egypt and UNIDO Egypt, implemented in partnership with the National Council for Women and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and supported by the Government of Canada, represented by Global Affairs Canada and the Embassy of Canada to Egypt.
