Who We Are

The Public Policy HUB is an initiative developed at the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) in October 2017. It provides the mechanism by which the good ideas and meaningful solutions to Egypt’s chronic and acute policy dilemmas, can be nurtured, discussed, refined, tested and presented to policymakers. It is designed to develop a cadre of well-informed and seasoned policy developers and advocates, while simultaneously fostering and promoting creative solutions to the challenges facing Egypt today.

Mission

Where rigor meets creativity. The Public Policy HUB is designed to fill in the policy research gap in Egypt by connecting the experience of policy researchers and experts in Egypt with policymakers, by presenting innovative policy recommendations for the prevailing Egyptian policy dilemmas.

Annual Conferences and Study Tours

Each year, and up until 2020, The public policy HUB has organized two annual conferences, where the participants get
the chance to present their policy recommendations to the top-notch policymakers in Egypt and the winning teams are
awarded to be part of an international study tour to the USA, where they visit a number of research centers, universities, UN offices and think tanks in both New York and Washington D.C.
