Celebrating GAPP 10 Years of Achievements
In June 2019, the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. This is a year that marks a decade of excellence, achievement and globally-recognized success. GAPP has carved a name for itself in Egypt and the region, becoming the leader in the Middle East in educating and empowering students committed to global affairs and public policy. The school has formed alliances with international universities, gained unprecedented international accreditation and rankings in the region, and expanded the horizons for students and professionals alike. After a ground-breaking first decade, GAPP proudly claims a vibrant and diverse community of 2,292 alumni of over 60 nationalities, who have gone on to pursue careers in fields of public administration, media organizations, law, NGOs, human rights organizations and international organizations. That is over two thousand individuals who left GAPP prepared to take the lead in shaping the future of their nations and the world at large. As the school marks this anniversary by celebrating its accomplishments, it also looks forward to all the possibilities and opportunities awaiting it.
