The American University in Cairo's (AUC) TV team participated in COP-27 through comprehensive media coverage of the activities in the Green Zone and the AUC Pavilion. Ranging from coverage of the University's presentations and contributions to a sustainable environment and up to conducting interviews with prominent figures within the AUC community.
Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism@COP27
The Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism had an active role in representing GAPP and AUC at COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh. The Center's participation encompassed three elements, including extensive coverage by AUCTV, the display of student work relating to climate change, as well as a panel on "Communicating Climate Change in the Arab World and Beyond" with Hussein Amin, center director and professor of journalism, Rasha Allam, associate chair and professor of JRMC and Sarah El-Shaarawi, Arab Media and Society Managing Editor.
Adham Center Student Awards in Five Years
Over the past five years, students of the MA program in television and digital journalism received more than 27 local and international awards from prestigious competitions. The Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the American University in Cairo, in partnership with Facebook Journalism Project, offered a comprehensive one-year program to support Egyptian media organizations and individuals in addressing some of the pressing issues and challenges facing the industry during and after the coronavirus pandemic.

The Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism Hosts the Arab Science Journalism Forum
On March 8-9, 2020, the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism, in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, together with the office of the Associate Provost for Research, Innovation, and Creativity, organized the Arab Science Journalism Forum titled Science Journalism: Towards Fostering an Environment for Growth. The opening of the two-day event included remarks by H.E.
