About
The department’s mission is to provide outstanding undergraduate and graduate education and professional training in the evolving fields of journalism and mass communication. A solid grounding in the liberal arts, combined with hands-on training in a cross-cultural environment, prepares students for successful careers in media and related fields worldwide. It also enables them to pursue a lifetime of contribution to their communities as critical and creative thinkers, proficient and accurate communicators, and culturally tolerant and responsible members of society.
